F1 Gp Austria 2022 at the Red Bull Ring
The Austrian Grand Prix is run on the Red Bull Ring circuit, owned by Red Bull. The Austrian track is also called Zeltweg circuit and since 2011 the name is also used Spielberg circuit. It looks like a short and fast roller coaster (4,318 meters), with just ten bends and continuous ups and downs, with the ride that takes just over a minute.
In total there are 10 curves 7 of which on the right and 2 on the left, with the Grand Prix spread over a distance of 71 rounds. The Spielberg racetrack is a track that needs a medium-low downforce. Austria also hosts the second weekend with the sprint qualification of the season, after the first course ad Imola.
The absolute track record is 1’02 ″ 939scored by Valterri Bottas on Mercedes-AMG in 2020 qualifying. The fastest time in the race is instead 1’05 ″ 619conquered by the current Ferrari driver is Carlos Sainz in 2020, when he was behind the wheel of the McLaren. In 2021 the race was won by Max Verstappenwhich has won three victories in the last four editions.
