This is just one of the great innovations provided for by the Formula 1 technical regulations, which came into force on January 1st of this year. The single-seaters must allow those who follow not to be decisively disturbed by the noxious vortices created by aerodynamics.
But there is much more, because also from the point of view of the tires, an epochal change will take place: the transition from 13-inch tires to 18 “ones. Larger tires, which should guarantee less overheating and more possibility to push for everything. the stint in which they will be used.
