Nintendo has added two new classics to the catalog of games offered with the Nintendo Switch Online subscription + Add-on pack. These are F-Zero GP Legend and F-Zero Climax, two F-Zero released on Game Boy Advance. They will be available starting from October 11, 2024, to the delight of all those who love this series and for those who will know it better.
Details
Released in 2003 and 2004 respectively, GP Legend and Climax represent the last two chapters of the F-Zero series developed for Game Boy Advance. In addition to the classic Grand Prix and Time Attack modes, GP Legend boasts a story mode and a large roster of drivers.
F-Zero Climax, however, had never been brought to the Westmaking this the first time it will be officially available outside of Japan. Featuring a circuit editor, it is also the last unreleased episode of the series. After its release, we had to wait 19 years for a new, decidedly atypical chapter: 2023’s F-Zero 99, released on Nintendo Switch.
As already mentioned, both games will only be available to subscribers who have also subscribed to the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack, a premium tier that offers additional benefits, including access to classic Nintendo 64 games and select DLC for some Nintendo Switch titles.
