Broadway star Gavin Creel has passed away at just 48 years old. He was suffering from a rare form of cancer
The famous theater actor, Gavin Creel, he passed away yesterday, Monday 30 September, after a rare and serious illness.
The star’s spokesperson gave the sad news, Matt Polk. Death also confirmed by Creel’s partner, Alex Temple Ward and occurred in his home in Manhattan. In July 2024 the artist was diagnosed with one aggressive form of sarcoma which had forced him to undergo treatment at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Of New York.

The life and career of Gavin Creel
Stage actor Gary Creel was considered one of Broadway’s biggest stars. He was the winner of a Tony Awardsor the Theater Oscar, in 2017 for his masterful interpretation of Cornelius Hackl in “Hello, Dolly!” alongside legends like Bette Midler And David Hyde Pierce.
Creel, born in 1976, was originally from FindlayOhio. From a young age he expressed and carried forward his incredible passion for acting and theatre.
