The Frenchman has left the team for good, so it’s up to his reserve to board the Odyssey 21 E-SUV on 18-19 December at the Bovington military base.
The 30-year-old South African will also be able to aim for the starting seat for 2022, also because Sarrazin has seriously damaged the car in three out of four races, so it will be difficult for them to mend relations with the team.
Team principal, Ruper Svendsen-Cook, said: “I think I can speak for everyone who works at Veloce if I say that we are really excited to have two talented drivers for the Extreme E season finale.”
“It’s our home race, in Dorset, at the end of this month! Lance has done a fantastic job as our reserve and development driver this season, as well as doing great in South Africa.”
“Then of course we have Jamie who won his first ever Veloce W Series title in Austin, so we believe we have the best possible line-up to finish the season well!”
Team manager, Ian Davies, added: “We have been hugely impressed with the work Lance has done for us this year. He has been a huge asset to the team, so we have total confidence in his abilities ahead of Dorset.”
“Jamie has had an incredible year in the W Series and scored our first podium in Senegal, let’s not forget that, so he certainly knows everything about the ODYSSEY 21. Together these two drivers will be a very strong combination.”
