A female fighter, previously expelled from the UFC sports league, Kat Zingano has decided to sue American actress and director Halle Berry. This is reported by the portal TMZ with a link to the text of the claim.
The documents say that in July 2019, Berry offered the athlete a role in her new film, Bruised. The filmmaker also noted that Zingano is great for filming the project.
At the same time, the 39-year-old female fighter emphasized that Holly asked her not to schedule her participation in sports events for the entire duration of filming. At the same time, Zingano received a request for a major fight from the UFC sports organization, with which she then had a contract.
According to the text of the claim, Berry asked the athlete to decline the request, citing bureaucratic difficulties with the insurance company. Zingano refused to participate in the competition, and the UFC terminated her contract. After that, the cinematographer refused her the role, since Berry allegedly needed the UFC fighter.
Zingano is currently collaborating with another American sports organization – Bellator, which also conducts mixed martial arts fights. According to the athlete, Berry cut off all contacts with her. In his claim, Zingano is seeking damages, the amount of which has not been disclosed.
Earlier it was reported that Halle Berry broke her ribs on the set of the movie “Bruised” and continued to work. In the project, she played the main role, turning into MMA fighter Jackie Justice. Berry also directed the film.
