“Hello, who are you?” / “I don’t trust such a beautiful ass” / “Tell me something interesting” / “It’s very cold” / “I’m undecided about something important” / “It is best to follow your heart” … ‘echo (The Couch One )’, of Lúa Corderch, It is an artificial intelligence in the form of … Diván Rosa and a blond head on one side.
The spectator can lie and talk to her following a simple methodology: he tells her a phrase, the robot repeats her and returns another that she has recorded in a past conversation. Most of the time, he answers meaningless things, But sometimes he gives in the nail and responds what the interlocutor needed to listen.
The precariousness of his technique does not prevent his success or overcoming expectations. This same idea rests after the series ‘Cold Reading’, six posters with principles used by mediums to convince the client to which they are ‘reading the mind’, for example: “ask questions that can be read as statements.” Strategies facilitate the emergence of a moment of magic Despite the obstacles to divination.
Lúa Corderch’s first individual in The Ryder It gathers a set of works that express the continuous negotiation between two extremes: yes I can and I cannot, the possibility and impossibility, the energy of giving everything and the most absolute exhaustion.

‘Exhaust and exuberant’ is the title that synthesizes this polarity around which the main axes of study of the exhibition pivot: the language, the standardization of the affections and the power of the narratives. In the video ‘not i’, A mouth tells six stories about voice problems, both physical and cultural, marking a rhythm by repetition of words. The lips pour a literary production flow without rest, linking the stories with a record between fun and uncomfortable.
Language also seems to wear out in ‘We Can Still Be Friends’, a sound piece in which a ‘performer’ repeats Excuses of rupture in a relationship until they manage to seem sincere. Even so, they are harmful clichés, therefore, in the two -dimensional version ‘Sore Throat’ they appear next to images of plants to cure the sore throat. The text plays with two levels, see ‘I love you’, and, in the next line, ‘but not’.

The ambiguity when together continues in the only unpublished piece ‘reaction. (Smile With Tear, 1 Kb) ‘, an installation made of 1,024 bugs with the same’ painted emoji: the smiling face with a tear. It’s a yes, but no. I cry and I am happy. The expression sets an emotional tone, apparently contradictory, but capable of opening the conditions of possibility for the visitor to establish their own (and successful) narrative genre.
