Therapist Cannon: Excessive sweating may indicate blood cancer and rosacea
Excessive sweating can be a symptom of a number of dangerous diseases, including blood cancer, warned British general practitioner Ellie Cannon. She’s talking about this told edition of the Daily Mail.
The doctor noted that severe sweating often occurs in women during menopause. So-called hot flashes are triggered by a decrease in estrogen levels, she explained. In addition, some people begin to sweat heavily when drinking alcohol, caffeinated drinks, and certain foods. In all other cases, according to the therapist, suddenly increased sweating may signal health problems.
In rare cases, Cannon says, excessive sweating may indicate certain types of blood cancer, which most often develop in people over 80. The doctor named rosacea, a chronic skin disease accompanied by persistent dilation of capillaries and the formation of a reddish rash on the skin, as another potential cause of this problem.

Also, as the therapist noted, severe sweating can occur due to diseases of the thyroid gland. Moreover, the development of this pathology, in addition to sweating, is usually accompanied by symptoms such as weight gain, depression, muscle pain, chronic fatigue and apathy, Cannon added.
Earlier, professor-cardiologist, doctor of medical sciences Mehman Mamedov warned about atypical signs of a heart attack. He named abdominal pain as the first non-obvious sign. Mamedov clarified that usually severe discomfort occurs in the upper abdomen, it gradually increases and is accompanied by sweating and shortness of breath.
