In Krasnodar, a court sentenced a former military man from Tula to two years in prison for falsely reporting a school explosion. On Friday, March 17, Lente.ru was informed by the joint press service of the regional judiciary.
The man was found guilty under Part 2 of Article 207 (“Knowingly false report of an act of terrorism”) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. He will serve his sentence in a colony-settlement.
According to the agency, on August 20, 2022, a drunken man arrived at the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Krasnodar Territory and stated that a sabotage was being prepared in one of the schools in the city. However, the information was not confirmed, then the security forces opened a case.
Earlier it became known that a criminal case of two 18-year-old local residents accused of spreading false reports about the mining of schools, kindergartens and social facilities was transferred to the court of Krasnoyarsk.
