Ex Ilva, Commissioner Laghi returns free. “No corruption”
The former Ilva commissioner can smile Enrico Laghi after the decision of the review court. No corruption offenses committed but only “an undue inducement to give and promise benefits”. Laghi then returns to freedom, the custody order against him has been canceled – reads the Messenger -. To find out the reasons it will be necessary to wait 45 days. But a detail already stands out from the reading of the device issued yesterday by the judges: what for the prosecutors was corruption in judicial acts in relation to the professional appointments conferred by Ilva managers to the lawyer Giacomo Ragno, for the judges of the Review could be at most undue inducement to give or promise benefits.
The accusation against Laghi, – continues the Messenger – retrained by the judges of the Review, was that of having reciprocated the “favorable attention to Ilva’s needs” by the prosecutor of Taranto, at the time led by Capristo, with professional assignments that were assigned by Ilva executives to the lawyer Ragno, a criminal lawyer in the Trani court, very close to Capristo himself. But the accusatory system has now collapsed.
