Former deputy head of a department in one of the departments of the RF Ministry of Defense Fyodor Dyulger received five years in prison for a bribe on an especially large scale. It is reported by TASS with reference to the Basmanny Court of Moscow.
A criminal case was initiated against Dyulger under Part 6 of Article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Taking a bribe on an especially large scale”). The prosecution asked to sentence Dyulger to nine years in a strict regime colony. The court found the ex-official guilty, but sentenced him to below the minimum limit provided for in the article.
Dyulger himself pleaded guilty, but asked the court to qualify his actions as fraud on an especially large scale. It is reported that the verdict has not been appealed, but has not yet entered into force.
Earlier it became known that the former head of the food department of the Russian Ministry of Defense, Colonel Alexander Berezhnoy, partially pleaded guilty in the case of a record bribe in the department. According to the investigation, the colonel created a criminal group from his colleagues. The amount of bribes in the case amounted to 368 million rubles.
