In Moscow, a court sentenced former adviser to the head of Dagestan Osman Makhachev to 10 years in a maximum security colony in a case of accepting a bribe. The press service of the court told Lenta.ru about this.
The former official was also fined 115 million rubles. He was found guilty under Article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Taking a bribe”). Makhachev’s property under arrest was confiscated to the state.
According to investigators, in 2017, for 23 million rubles, the convict helped the bribe-giver obtain the position of head of one of the municipalities of Dagestan.
