Guadalajara Jalisco.- All set to celebrate guadalajara, Jaliscothe Municipal Day of the Drowned Cake, Mexican snack of great tradition for the inhabitants of the Guadalajara pearl and that will mean distributing ten thousand pieces by 30 exhibitors, in addition to the presentation of the documentary “Drowned”.
The appointment will be next Saturday, September, 10thon the esplanade of the municipal presidency and on Paseo Fray Antonio Alcalde in the heart of the capital city, where, in addition, there will be a tasting of craft beer and the tastiest drowned cake of the contest will be defined.
“It was stipulated that on September 10 of every year we are going to celebrate the most Jalisco dish that exists, which is the drowned cake, it does not exist anywhere else in the Mexican Republic and we are bringing together the best exponents, whether they are great, little ones, acquaintances and enterprising people who are just starting out”, explained Lorena Gómez Haro Planell, Director of Public Relations of the Government of Guadalajara.

The documentary “Ahogadas” will be screened free of charge, produced by the filmmaker Bruno Madariaga, there will be mariachi and a blind tasting in which a jury will try different drowned cakes, without knowing which of the exhibitors made them, to choose the favorite; The choice of each of the judges will define a winner.
The jury will include personalities such as Pablo Lemus Navarro, Municipal President of Guadalajara; Bruno Madariaga, filmmaker; Nico Mejia, chef; Danniela Vázquez, Municipal President of Yahualica; among others.
“We hope that the entire Guadalajara family will come, they don’t need to be raw to come and eat cakes, as long as they are happy and want to live a great experience in the Historic Center, we will be here”, said Gómez Haro Planell.
