(Reuters) – Euro zone consumer confidence fell 0.3 point in February from a month earlier, data showed on Friday.
The European Commission said a preliminary estimate showed consumer confidence in countries sharing the single currency had dropped to -8.8 points this month from an unrevised reading of -8.5 in January.
Economists polled by Reuters had expected confidence to rise to -8.0.
In the European Union as a whole, consumer confidence dropped 0.2 point to -10.2.
