Hacker attacks against the pages of various parties in the Netherlands, where the polls for the European elections are open today. The Christian Democratic Appeal (CDA) party has confirmed that its portal has received a “serious” denial of service attack, with hackers trying to block the server. For the party this is a direct action against “free and democratic elections”.
The website of the Party for Freedom (PVV), Geert Wilders’ far-right group that won the last general elections, also denounced the blocking of its website. Same thing for another far-right party, the Forum for Democracy (FvD), whose leader, Thierry Baudet, joked with the media about a possible Russian involvement, according to what public TV Nos reports.
