Apple TV+ announced that the second season of the comedy series “Acapulco,” starring and produced by SAG Award winner Eugenio Derbezwill return on Friday, October 21, 2022. The new season premiere will be two episodes, followed by a new episode every Friday.
The second season picks up right after the denouement of the first, telling the story of Máximo Gallardo, a twentysomething whose dream comes true when he gets the job of a lifetime at the most popular hotel in Acapulco, “The hills”. In 1985, Máximo will have to deal with unexpected problems at the hotel and at his house, a new love interest that could rival the girl of his dreams.

Under the guidance of Don Pablo, Máximo sees that one day he will manage the entire operation of “Las Colinas” and become Diane’s right-hand man. Meanwhile, in the present day, old Máximo returns to Acapulco to make peace with the recent death of Don Pablo, where he is forced to confront some unfinished business left by young Máximo.

Coming from Lionsgate Television, “Acapulco” is inspired by the box office hit from 3Pas Studios and Pantelion Films “How to Be a Latin Lover”, and is produced for Apple by Lionsgate Television, 3Pas Studios, Zihuatanejo Productions and The Tannenbaum Company. The series is created by Austin Winsberg, Eduardo Cisneros, and Jason Shuman. Chris Harris is the showrunner. The first season of “Acapulco” is available on Apple TV +.
