Representative of Ukraine to the European Union (EU) and the European Atomic Energy Community Vsevolod Chentsov on his Twitter informedthat the EU has accepted and registered the country’s application for accession. After that, the European Union began to consider it.
“I handed Ukraine’s application for membership in the European Union, signed by President Zelensky, to the EU Permanent Representative of France, Philippe Leglis-Cost, which dominates the EU Council. The application has been registered. The review procedure has begun,” wrote Chentsov.
Earlier, White House press secretary Jen Psaki said that US President Joe Biden would not send national troops to Ukraine to fight Russia. Psaki added that now is not the right time for contacts between Moscow and Washington.
