The artists
Pierpaolo Perretta, aka Mr. Savethewall, is an Italian artist originally from Como.
Mr. Savethewall was not born as an artist. In fact, he began his career as a manager. Moved by his boundless passion for art and, in particular, for street art, he decides to devote himself full time to this new activity. In fact, in 2013 he gave up a secure and well-paid job to express his vision of the world and society through art. Mr. Savethewall immediately declares against soiling of the walls and, for this reason, decides not to carry out his murals directly on the walls, but to use an easily removable adhesive tape. He also uses recyclable materials with a low environmental impact, such as cardboard. Hence his stage name which, literally, means Mr. Save the Wall, fully declaring his will to protect the urban decor.
Oscar Brum, born in 1992, is a Mexican self-taught artist based in Milan. His work is the product of the blend of a millennial cultural heritage and his personal experiences around the world. He tries to create a dialogue between ancient symbolisms and contemporary dogmas by exploring the relationship between the artwork and the viewer as a form of mutual interaction. The artist usually works simultaneously on several projects. The means of expression that he prefers are: painting, pictorial intervention on photography and sculpture. Death and his essential role in existence are important pillars in his artistic research, which he also turns to the exploration of the profound cosmovision of the pre-Hispanic cultures of Mexico and Latin America.
Giorgio Mussati was born in Modena, he immediately breathed a passion for art thanks to his grandfather. Fascinated by any form of art, he finds in painting the most immediate way to communicate freely; for these reasons, Pop Art and street Art become the currents that characterize it most. Pop Art gives him a sense of creative freedom, while Street Art gives him the content, as a means to express and denounce through art in a continuous interaction between the work and the urban environment, just like a propaganda poster. Even the passion for digital will integrate his art with graphic design, video montages and web animations. The dimension of the much loved stencil in the new form of Street Art is for Giorgio the turning point, taking his art to a higher level, connoting it with its own very characteristic elements.
