Competitiveness
Ethanol was more competitive in relation to gasoline in ten states: Alagoas, Goiás, Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul, Minas Gerais, Paraíba, Paraná, Pernambuco, Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo, in addition to the Federal District. In the rest of the States, it remains more advantageous to fill up your car with gasoline. According to the ANP survey compiled by AE-Taxas, in the period, the average of stations surveyed in the country had ethanol parity of 60.97% compared to gasoline, therefore favorable in comparison with the petroleum derivative.
Parity was 67.51% in Alagoas, 59.03% in Goiás; 54.87% in Mato Grosso; 61.16% in Mato Grosso do Sul; 62.32% in Minas Gerais; 68.50% in Paraíba; 64.12% in Paraná; 69.98 in Pernambuco; 69.70% in Rio de Janeiro and 59.93% in São Paulo. In the Federal District, it was 65.26%.
Industry executives note that ethanol can be competitive even with parity greater than 70%, depending on the vehicle in which the biofuel is used.
