In a recent interview with the site Fandango, the director of Eternals Chloé Zhao unveils the number of post credit scenes, also underlining their importance at the level of the plot, but without making spoilers. The film will be released in Italy on November 3 in cinemas.
After understanding in which period the film will be placed, we are now aware that there will be 2 post credit scenes, continuing the now tradition of additions during the credits. The director herself answered the question posed by the site, highlighting how both will have a big surprise.
When asked directly about the presence of post credit scenes, the answer was the following:
Yup! Don’t stay only for the first one, stay also for the second. They are both very important for weight, and they both have a big surprise for you all.
Regarding the importance of the film, the director herself underlines how this film will change the point of view of many viewers, especially thanks to the official introduction of the Celestials, which we told you about in this article. This knowledge, according to the director, will also have a big impact on the Marvel Cinematic Universe itself.
Well, let’s see… I think a lot of it is that the public will discover the origin of the MCU through the mythology of the Celestials. I think by the end of the film, we will have a new understanding of the relationship of planet Earth with the cosmos, and also with its inhabitants. But in that sense, it would have a huge effect on the future of the MCU.
The interview then continues highlighting the presence of the multiverse, both on the big screen and on TV, taking as an example the season finale of Loki. When asked about the link with the various universes, the director replied:
The film is completely apart. If you know that half of the universe has disappeared and returned, that’s all you need to know to watch this movie. But what happens in this film will have huge implications for the future.
There remains therefore than wait for next November 3rd, release date in Italian cinemas of Eternals, especially now that we also know the number of post credit scenes in the film.
