The fifth edition of the Estrenarte festival will expand both the maximum age of participants, which will range from 18 to 40 years old, and the artistic disciplines included in its categories, by including musical theater and characterization within the performing arts, thus adding to the rest of the categories: music, cinematography, plastic and visual arts, fashion design and other artistic disciplines.
This was stated by the Minister of Culture, Carmen Conesa, at the presentation event, which took place yesterday at the Parador de Lorca and which featured performances by the group Vuelve Abril and the dancer Pablo Egea, selected for the 2022 Estrenarte. and 2023.
The counselor highlighted that the main objective of Estrenarte is “to be able to exhibit and disseminate the work and works of the selected talented young people, following the line marked by four editions in which nearly 200 artistic projects have been selected and produced. young creators from the Region, within the different disciplines.
As in previous editions, in addition to the exhibitions of the selected projects, the festival will offer free talks and training workshops to increase the development and training of young creators. These trainings will take place between May and June and are aimed at the professional development of young people within each of the disciplines. At the same time, the festival continues in the line of supporting the different municipalities and projecting the festival throughout the Region, so this year it will have three venues: Lorca, Caravaca de la Cruz and Murcia.
The deadline for submitting applications will begin today, ending on June 12, and can be processed through the electronic headquarters of the Autonomous Community of Murcia.
