Estonia | Bloomberg: Russia has simulated missile strikes on Estonia in its military exercise

A Russian military helicopter also violated Estonian airspace last Saturday.

In Russia a military exercise is underway to simulate missile strikes on Estonia, the news agency reported Bloomberg on tuesday.

Bloomberg’s source was the Estonian Ministry of Defense, which said that Russia’s provocations have increased during the NATO summit. The NATO summit will be held in Madrid in late June.

Last Russian military helicopter violates Estonian airspace in south-eastern Estonia on Saturday, says Estonian Broadcasting Corporation ERR. The airspace violation lasted two minutes.

According to the ERR, the Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs invited Russia’s ambassador to Tallinn Vladimir Lipajevin on Tuesday for an interview.

This was Russia’s second airspace violation against Estonia this year. There were five cases last year.
