Esperance team won the Tunisian Football League title, for the 32nd time in its history and the sixth in a row, after defeating Ittihad Ben Guerdane 2-1, in the last tenth round of the coronation group competitions.
This round also saw USM Monastir tied with Sfaxien 2/2, and Etoile Sahel and CAF tied for nothing.
Ittihad Ben Guerdane advanced with a goal scored by Fakhreddine Al-Auji in the sixth minute, and Mohamed Ali Benhamouda tied in the 85th minute for Esperance, before Elias Sheti scored the winning goal in the seventh minute of overtime for the match.
Muhammad Ali Bin Ramadan missed a penalty kick for Esperance in the 40th minute, and Esperance raised its score to 24 points at the top of the standings, while Ittihad Ben Guerdane stopped his score to three points in sixth place.
In the second match, USM Monastir drew 2-2 with its guests, Sfaxien, but this was not enough to win the title.
Sfaxien’s goals were scored by Chadi Hammami in the 21st and 35th minutes, while the goals of USM Monastir Roger Oholo scored in the 71st minute, and Youssef Abdali in the 88th minute. The match saw the expulsion of USM Monastir’s Mohamed Seghraoui in the 77th minute, and CS Sfaxien raised his score to 16 points in third place. Union Monastir raised its score to 22 points in second place, two points behind Esperance.
In the third match, Etoile du Sahel tied with Afrikaner Tunisia goalless.
The match witnessed the expulsion of Yassine Chamakhi, the African player, in the 77th minute, and Etoile Sahel raised his score to 13 points in fifth place, and Kamar Faa Al-Afriqi scored 15 points in fourth place.
