From Motegi to Noale with just a few points
It ends not without difficulty Japanese Grand Prix for theApriliawith the Noale company still having to deal with less than encouraging results on the Motegi circuit. Finishing in the points, and therefore among the top fifteen in the standings, was not the driver who seemed the favorite to achieve this type of final result.
Difficult start and subsequent fall
Started from the front row, the race Maverick Viñales ended prematurely for one fall on lap 12, especially after a contact with Marc Marquez which occurred immediately after the start which compromised any chance of a podium: “We suffered in this match, it was difficult to defend myself from the opponents’ attacks – commented briefly on #12 – I want to maintain the feeling of qualifying, when we managed to express the bike’s potential to the maximum. I’ll try to give my best at Phillip Island: the asphalt is new and, furthermore, it’s a track that I like.”
Sweaty points
Sensations that contrast with those of his teammate Aleix Espargarò. 15th in qualifying, the future Honda test driver fought from the first laps to be able to at least enter the top-10, managing to do so with the 9th place final: “It was a hard-fought race, ninth position was it the only positive note of this weekend – he added – the bike had no grip, the same problem we had all weekend and as a result, I suffered a lot from the rear tire slipping. We were unable to extract the full potential of the bike. We must continue to work.”
