The Board of Directors of the Equestrian and Racing Federation, in Abu Dhabi, held its periodic meeting headed by Major General Dr. Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, and in the presence of the members of the Board of Directors.
The Council approved the minutes of the first meeting, the financial report 2023, reviewed the programs of the AFC, discussed the formation and approval of committees, and proposed plans to activate their roles, through the Ability Committee, the Show Jumping Committee, the Marketing Committee and the Dressage Committee, and it also touched on the equipment of the show jumping team in its current camp. In Germany, in preparation for the 2024 Paris Olympics.
The meeting was attended by Naema Al Mansouri, Vice President of the Federation, Dr. Ghanem Muhammad Al Hajri, Secretary General, Sultan Khalifa Al Yahyai, Chairman of the Show Jumping Committee, Ali Musabah Muhanna Al Kaabi, Chairman of the Dressage Committee, Amal Ali Al Sayegh, Chairman of the Marketing Committee, Ahmed Al Suwaidi, Executive Director, and Khalil Ibrahim Murad, Chairman of the Endurance and Endurance Committee, Muhammad Saif Ali Lamshurab Al Habsi, Rashid Nasser Al Ali, Ahmed Abdul Rahman Amin Al Shurafa, and Abdullah Al Naqbi.
Dr. Ghanem Muhammad Al-Hajri confirmed that the meeting discussed the preparation of programs and races in the new season, in addition to the endurance and show jumping championships, and their approval by the Board of Directors. He also reviewed the preparation of the show jumping team for the 2024 Paris Olympics and the Asian Games in China during the coming September and October.
Al-Hajri indicated that the meeting also touched on the federation’s development efforts in services related to the registration of riders and horses, and ensuring the efficiency of all procedures and systems in preparation for the next season, in addition to examining the financial aspects, the significant role of the working administrative and financial committees, and developing a future plan for marketing, where ideas were put forward. various issues from the marketing committee and discussing them, marking the start of work to achieve the public interest.
The Secretary-General of the Federation stated that the external participations represent a top priority in the next season, with the aim of achieving positive results, praising the efforts of the strategic partners in the Olympic Committee and the General Sports Authority, for their follow-up and support for the Federation’s programs, and Al-Shiraa Stables for the efforts made in preparing the show jumping team to participate in the upcoming events. Among them are the 2024 Paris Olympics and the 2023 Asian Games in China.
