With the many devices released for the audio market, EPOS it really offers many possibilities for users, and while in some cases it concentrates its forces in order to create specific quality models for some certain areas, in others it presents more versatile items, which thanks to their features are able to better adapt to needs of users, whatever they are. We want to deepen today, within this review dedicated, the EPOS H3 Hybrid, which have had the opportunity to evolve the potential of the previous model: the H3 only wired already on the market for some time, at a somewhat lower price, and with several improvements in less than the new model. After trying the article thoroughly, we want to give you all the details about this in the next few lines.
Maximum versatility
Presenting itself as usual for the company’s products with an elegant design, the headphones EPOS H3 Hybrid we talk about in this review (here the link for the purchase) offer possibilities for every area, be it a use for gaming or the desire to be able to take them anywhere with ease. Unlike the previous only wired model, this one offers much more possibilities, being compatible with a cable USB type A (required to update the firmware), a 3.5 jack and wireless connection through the bluetooth. The device can be connected to any device, since it is also compatible with all consoles of the current and last generation, and thanks to the idea of plug and play embraced by EPOS does not require further settings. It must be said that on a computer, however, it is possible to take advantage of the dedicated application to vary some specific settings, whether it is the volume or the yield of the product.
The EPOS H3 Hybrid they are particularly comfortable even for several hours of use, and with a weight of less than 300 grams they do not have much to envy to the previous model. This can be further reduced – by the way – removing the external microphone with the magnetic mechanism, which in fact is accompanied by a second internal device, obviously of lower quality, but perfect for making calls and maintaining a more sober look in open environments. The real peculiarity of the device is the possibility of using its own battery from the duration of 37 hours maximum, which instead charges in only 1.5 hours, to be able to connect multiple devices together. It should be specified that with multiple uses at the same time, the duration is significantly lowered, even up to halving.
The product takes care of the rest, sorting the various channels and not creating confusion between the various audio sources, which allows for example to be able to talk on the phone while playing, or use Discord from PC in a console session, managing the 3 types of connections available for the headset as you prefer. Even if it is difficult to imagine everything before being able to try it for yourself, this type of versatility, now increasingly common in the headphone market, is really able to change the experience of use. Compared to the last model, they have also been added of the buttons, apart from the classic volume adjustment wheel, thanks to which it is possible to set some comfortable and immediate settings.
Quality on every front
Obviously, just like the previous model, the EPOS H3 Hybrid we tell you about in this review do not disappoint in any way as far as audio is concerned. Speaking of the microphone, we find an excellent result to say the least when you take advantage of the external one, which can be disconnected as mentioned through the magnetic mechanism for convenience, but also outdoors and for calls the internal re-proposal can do its job. Although this is not – as is normal – an option with the utmost professionalism, communications are crystal clear, and whether it is recordings or simple game sessions, the result remains excellent in any case.
Speaking of the audio of the headphones we have also in this case an excellent result, which with the Gaming Suite by EPOS, once you connect the headphones to a computer using (obligatorily) the supplied USB cable, it improves even further. Both for gaming and for any other area that we have had the opportunity to test, the product has certainly not disappointed, and indeed allows a really excellent immersion, also considering the pavilions structured in order not to leave much opening, and the closed setup that takes care of isolating the outside to ensure a more impactful experience.
