Neoe and Finsilva oyj, one of Finland’s largest forest owners, have signed a cooperation agreement related to the project.

According to Neoen, the cooperation agreement is a significant step in the utilization of solar power in Finland.

“Neoen’s and Finsilva’s agreement enables a project that is unique in scale in Finland. We believe that solar energy will play a significant role in Finland in the next few years,” project director Arto Hirvonen says in Neoen’s announcement.

Hirvonen reminds that the construction of solar power production would reduce Finland’s carbon dioxide emissions and increase the country’s energy self-sufficiency.
