The Minister of Education, Dr. Ahmed bin Abdullah Belhoul Al Falasi, confirmed that recent years have witnessed an improvement in the quality of educational institutions in the country, especially with regard to university admission standards, which were primarily and obligatorily dependent on passing the “EMSAT” test as a tool for university admission, pointing out that during In 2021, there was unification in university admission standards, and then in 2023, the Ministry developed the university admission policy through two tracks. The first abolished the mandatory requirement of passing the “EMSAT” test in particular, and provided various similar tests suitable for the specializations to which students were accepted.
The minister said, in response to a parliamentary question about the “Emsat exams”, directed by the Second Deputy Speaker of the Federal National Council, Maryam Majid bin Thaniah, during the Federal National Council session, held this morning: “In the second track, we were keen to facilitate university admission for students by diversifying specializations.” In universities.”
