Juarez City.– The three victims of express kidnapping and robbery who were guarding the González supermarket in the Chaveña neighborhood in the early hours of September 24, when it was robbed, will require psychological therapy due to the emotional effects that the event left them, classified between mild and serious (depending on the person).
The information was released during the continuation of the initial hearing against Jesús Fernando MM, before he was linked to proceedings for the crimes of qualified robbery and express kidnapping to the detriment of the three employees and the store, in which he stole a total of 82 thousand 348.46 pesos and a truck valued at 145 thousand more, loot that he allegedly took after committing the robbery.
According to the background of the investigation under criminal case 5818/2024, on September 24 at 3:00 in the morning MM entered the store through a duct in possession of a firearm. The store was closed, so there were only staff on duty, three people.
He saw the three and ordered them, at gunpoint (of which no details are given nor its seizure confirmed), to go to the butcher shop and then to the bathroom. He locked two of them there and took a third, a woman who took him to the administration offices of the branch located on Libertad Street, where the safe was.
None of the three had been able to see him, he was wearing a mask and a hat covering a large part of his head, but the thin braids that he wears over the strands of hair stood out. Also, the witnesses said, his skin color was impressed on them. These two characteristics played an important role at the time of official recognition.
There was only one moment when he uncovered his face, when he saw the safe, and when he saw the woman who guided him watching him, he became angry and began to use a pipe to leverage himself against the door of the safe until he broke it and extracted 81,448.46 pesos. , according to the local’s assessments, added to the 900 pesos that he took from another of the victims.
They corroborate the guilt of the accused
Then he asked whose truck was outside the store, a white 2010 Ford F150. It belonged to the third victim, and he took the keys to flee.
MM was arrested on the 24th by the Municipal Public Security Secretariat (SSPM) for alleged possession of ‘crystal’ methamphetamine.
The arrest occurred in the Francisco Villa neighborhood, where police noticed a man aboard a black Dodge Dart sedan type car who was allegedly driving recklessly and at excessive speed.
It was at the intersection of Lirios and Cuacho streets where the agents carried out a search during which they said they found 15 grams of the drug.
The news of his arrest was spread by various media on socio-digital networks, where one of the victims recognized him and came to ratify his complaint and formally identify him to continue with the investigation and prosecution of the case.
His public defense reserved his arguments and did not present evidence to seek his release, although it was requested that he not be linked to proceedings for one of the aggravating factors of the crime of kidnapping, that of committing it in a group of two or more people.
The Northern Zone District Prosecutor’s Office confirmed to the judge that there was no precedent that would allow this hypothesis to continue, so they also requested that this aggravating circumstance be dispensed with.
Finally, the Control Judge Erick Robles considered that the evidence was sufficient to prove that the crimes of qualified robbery and express kidnapping existed, and that Jesús Fernando MM was probably responsible for having committed them, so he linked him to the process and set him in The deadline for the complementary investigation is three months, time that must be spent in preventive detention in Cereso 3 of this city.
