Participants in the fifth annual conference of the Emirates Oncology Society, which concluded in Dubai today, stressed the importance of exchanging technological innovation and international cooperation in the field of cancer research.
The conference, which was organized by the Emirates Oncology Society in cooperation with the Emirates Medical Association and with the support of the Ministry of Health and Community Protection and the Gulf Oncology Society, recommended the necessity of cooperation between health institutions within the Emirates and international health organizations to adopt innovative technologies and provide them to patients as quickly as possible, which enhances the UAE’s position as a pioneer in the field. The conference participants stressed the importance of enhancing scientific research and intensifying efforts to raise the level of health awareness among members of society, and stressed that the conference contributed to developing a road map to improve diagnosis and treatment in the field of oncology in the coming years, while emphasizing the importance of technological innovation and international cooperation in achieving this goal.
The fifth edition of the conference this year highlighted the latest developments in cancer treatment, and reviewed new technologies used for gastrointestinal cancer surgeries, robotic cancer surgeries, and the latest smart and immunological treatments for breast and gastrointestinal cancers, which represent a major transformation in the treatment of cancers.
