The Emirates Foundation for School Education has announced a number of jobs in the educational field, for the next academic year (2022/2021), for various educational levels in all regions of the country, through the “Teach for the Emirates” initiative website.
“Emirates Today” monitored 38 jobs announced through “Emirates Term Science”, which include jobs for teachers and school administrators, including 25 jobs for school directors, in addition to a number of teaching jobs, including a kindergarten teacher “for citizens only”, a mathematics teacher, and English language, Science, physics, and music.
The Foundation has identified vacancies for the post of a school principal, including in the Emirate of Ajman (for the first, second and secondary cycles), the third cycle in the Emirate of Sharjah (the Eastern Region), the first cycle in the Emirate of Umm Al Quwain, the first, second and third cycles in the Emirate of Fujairah, and the first and second cycle And the third cycle in the Emirate of Sharjah, in addition to the director of a joint school in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, and the principal of a joint school in the Emirate of Umm Al Quwain, and the second and third cycles – the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, and the second cycle – the Emirate of Dubai.
She explained that the standards of educational leadership in the country have been developed to ensure that educational leaders at all levels of responsibility are able to demonstrate their professional competence that is in line with the aspirations of the UAE Vision 2021, and is in line with internationally recognized best practices, noting that the standards include both academic and operational aspects. For the work of educational leaders, they are integrated into the role of the school principal.
The Foundation has identified four areas of leadership, which the principal is required to develop, which are professional and ethical leadership, strategic leadership, educational leadership, and operational (operations) leadership.
The initiative stated that the minimum educational qualifications required for a school principal are a bachelor’s degree (mainly), a master’s or doctoral degree in education or educational leadership, or a professional certificate in educational leadership (preferably), specifying for each qualification a number of years of experience required.
The initiative stressed the need for a number of advantages to be available in the applicant for the position of a school principal, including behavioral competencies (efficiency level 6), teamwork, empowering employees and developing their capabilities, communication and communication skills, leadership of change, focus on customer service, focus on results, and resource management. Effectively, think strategically.
On the other hand, the next academic year (2022/2021) is scheduled to start on August 29, according to the school calendar approved by the Ministerial Council for Development. The number of school days for the new school year is 186 days, and the year’s vacations are divided into winter vacation: 12 December 30, 2021, spring break: March 27-April 14, 2022, and summer vacation: start at the end of the academic year, provided it does not exceed 8.2 weeks.
In addition, the Emirates Foundation for School Education announced the return of the public education system in public schools, starting from the next school year 2021-2022, in line with the state’s directions to return to normal life, after full coordination with the relevant authorities, taking into account the application of precautionary measures. and preventive measures, as all necessary measures will be taken and the highest standards applied, taking into account the safety of students and educational field cadres, including teachers and administrators.
She pointed out to the development of a protocol for returning to schools, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority, and local authorities, which will be announced later, that will preserve the safety of students and cadres in the educational field, as the Foundation works in direct cooperation with school principals, given their important role. In creating the appropriate atmosphere to raise the efficiency and training of teachers and administrators, in order to ensure the optimal implementation of the protocol, to encourage students to return to school.
The Foundation confirmed that each school is dealt with separately, and based on its own data, without affecting the rest of the government education system in the country, with reference to keeping the distance learning option available to the guardian if he so desires, knowing that the highest standards used to protect Students and the school community upon return to school.
