Emirates Airlines today announced plans to operate its giant A380 aircraft, which will be upgraded with the latest Premium Economy Class cabins, to five new cities, starting next December.
The five cities are New York “JF Kennedy Airport”, San Francisco, Melbourne, Auckland and Singapore.
The airline will also add more “premium tourist” seats on its flights to London Heathrow and Sydney, while introducing its improved cabins to its scheduled services.
Emirates aims to provide more opportunities for customers to experience the highly acclaimed Premium Economy Class cabin.
The latest plans include the return of 85 A380s to the skies by December to meet the demand for travel during the year-end holiday season.
Emirates will operate its A380 aircraft, which will be upgraded and equipped with the Premium Economy Class cabin, to New York JF Kennedy, San Francisco, Melbourne, Auckland and Singapore as follows From next December, Emirates will launch its premium tourist cabin to Auckland for the first time for service “EK448/449” from January 15, 2023.
Melbourne will become the second Australian destination served by Emirates with an A380 equipped with a Premium Economy Class cabin on flight EK406/407, and as of February 1, 2023, and San Francisco will become the second American destination served by Emirates A380 with modern interiors on flight EK225. / 226″ as of February 15, 2023.
As for Singapore, it will receive for the first time the Emirates A380 aircraft equipped with Premium Economy Class, as of March 1, 2023, on flight “EK 354 / 355”.
Emirates will update its flight schedules to London Heathrow, Sydney and New York John F. Kennedy with its modified A380 aircraft on the following flights. Effective December 15, 2022, Sydney will become the first city on the Emirates network to offer premium economy class seats on all flights with the start of operation of the modified aircraft for the E service. London Heathrow Airport will receive its third daily service with premium economy class aircraft on flight EK005/006 from January 1, 2023.

Emirates will also launch the A380 service equipped with Premium Economy Class for the first time to Christchurch from March 26, 2022 as an extension of flight EK 412/413 from Dubai to Sydney.
With demand for travel the strongest in more than two years, Emirates will provide customers with more choices and a better experience with the expansion of A380 services to 42 destinations by the end of March 2023.
Simultaneously, it is expanding its network to meet demand and enhancing its existing schedules to more than 400 weekly A380 flights departing from Dubai, providing 460,000 seats by March 2023, including 81,000 seats in luxury cabins, giving customers greater comfort.
By the end of this year, Emirates will serve about a third of its network with A380 aircraft, which will reach the number operating in the fleet to 85 aircraft, with the launch of the giant to more destinations such as Houston, Bengaluru, Perth, Auckland, Hong Kong and Kuala Lumpur, in addition to other cities to be announced in the coming weeks.
With the expansion of the list of cities, Emirates will have restored 75 percent of the A380 network before the pandemic. The carrier will also enhance existing services to major cities, increasing the flexibility and stability of its operations.
The Emirates Premium Economy Class, which was launched first on the airline’s flights to London Heathrow, Paris and Sydney, has been admired and received by customers, as demand exceeded expectations, indicating its attractiveness and the willingness of travelers to experience luxury and tranquility with high privacy.
