Emigrant family experiences pure nightmare in Portugal: cat stolen, dog killed

An emigrant family wanted to build a new life in Portugal. But the headwind was too strong. Locals apparently stopped at nothing.

The family of four was convinced that they had found happiness in Portugal – in the Guarda region, just north of Lisbon. Friends are raising money under 'Emergency escape back to the UK for Lynn and Richard' on the website GoFundMe. A sum of almost 4,800 British pounds (the equivalent of around 5,690 euros) has now been raised (as of April 17, 2024). The emigrant family is probably not the only one with this bad story.
