The destruction and chaos left by the mud flood that swept away most of the railway tracks, bridges and roads in the south of the metropolitan area of Valencia has led to the urgent implementation of a practically new public transport network. For this, the Generalitat has announced the creation and modification of 12 bus lines with which the aim is to try to cover the MetroValencia and Cercanías lines that have been out of service, in addition to linking with the few stations that are still operational.

According to the Valencian Government, these lines will connect with Valencia or EMT stopping points, Cercanías and the existing Metrobús lines to guarantee communications.
Currently the open roads in Valencia suffer from heavy congestion, more than 40 kilometers on the main roads Valencia and its metropolitan area while aid convoys continue to arrive from all over Spain. Added to this is the congestion on the A-7 in Sagunto due to the mandatory detour of trucks so as not to enter Valencia towards the A-23 to Teruel.
