Electronic Arts posted a miserable tweet where he basically throws a dig at people who only like the single player gamesunleashing the reactions of users and professionals, including a Vince Zampella facepalm.
Update
Taking note of the mistake, the publisher apologized. The original news follows.
“They are beautiful but they like to play only with single player titles”, reads the publisher’s message, which perhaps takes its cue from the strong discussion of the last few hours around the release date of God of War: Ragnarok, however, obtaining a controversial effect to say the least.
In fact, users did not miss the pun (“they are ten”) to point out that the latest games with a certain level of average rating produced by Electronic Arts were just single players, such as Star Wars Jedi : Fallen Order.
Furthermore, the wound of the closure of Visceral Games is still open, which at the time generated a strong controversy on the importance or otherwise of single player experiences, in which Cory Barlog also intervened.
In short, EA’s tweet really seems like a gaffe and is not producing results other than attracting criticism and irony towards the company, so much so that we imagine that at some point it will be canceled.
