Lamborghini's second fully electric model will be a Super SUV, the heir to the Urus. The Bull brand has in fact announced further objectives of its Cor Tauri Management plan, with a focus also on the range that the Sant'Agata Bolognese car manufacturer will propose in the coming years. What will be the electric Lamborghini Urus will arrive in 2029 following the first battery-powered model of the Italian brand, the series version of the Lanzador concept.
Electrified Lamborghinis
The electrification process began during 2023 with the debut of the Lamborghini Revuelto, the first HPEV of the Taurus brand which will be followed in 2024 by the debut of the plug-in hybrid version of the Urus and the heir to the Huracan, already spotted on the road with his forklifts on several occasions. An evolution explained in detail by Federico Foschini, Chief Marketing and Sales Officer, “Lhe main challenges are represented by regulations on CO emissions2of the fleet, which vary depending on the markets and which we must respect to meet the standards. But we are prepared: we do not limit ourselves to passively reacting to trends, but we must anticipate them, remaining faithful to our values and our DNA”.
Sustainability objectives
The primary objective of the new electrified range of the Sant'Agata Bolognese car manufacturer is therefore to reduce emissions by 50% by 2025 and 80% by 2030 for the fleet in circulation compared to 2021 and then reach carbon neutrality in 2050 thanks to the entire low-impact production process that the brand is carrying out at all levels. “Cor Tauri Management represents our roadmap towards the electrification of the Lamborghini range and the decarbonisation path, not only of our Sant'Agata Bolognese site, but of the entire value chain. A holistic approach to our global environmental sustainability strategy.”
