Fiat 500e fears no rivals in Europe. The electric city car from the Turin car manufacturer closed a largely positive 2023, or at least this is what the data say: in its segment it was in fact the best-selling model for the second consecutive year, despite a competition more fierce than ever. More precisely, with just under 65,000 units registered it achieved a market share of 14.7% in segment A+B BEVup 0.3% compared to 2022.
Continental record
In addition to being the best-selling electric city car on a continental level, the 500e has proven itself unbeatable (or almost) in a series of markets relevant to Europe: in Italy, Germany, Spain, Belgium and Austria it placed in first position, while it came second in France and fourth in Portugal and Poland. If we look instead at total BEV market and not just in the electric city car segment, in 2023 the small Fiat car placed on the podium in Italy and Germany and in fourth place in France and Spain.
Towards total electrification
“Fiat 500e has once again confirmed its success, conquering the electric city car segment in Europe for second consecutive year – commented Olivier Francois, CEO of FIAT and CMO Global of Stellantis – The 500e has registered more than 185,000 units worldwide since its launch and is playing an important role in the green transition of international metropolises. The 500e is currently sold in 44 countries worldwide, continuing the global journey of electrification of the brand. We offer simple, intuitive and socially relevant solutions, always putting our customers' needs at the center.”
