Maranello is preparing for the electric age. After the arrival of hybrids in the range, 2025 will be the year of the electric Ferrari and the first supercar from the Cavallino will be born in the new e-building, a factory dedicated to sustainable mobility and technologies connected to new cars. The new site within the Modena factory will open its doors in the next few days, with the Motor Valley car manufacturer having scheduled a series of events that will lead to this initiative, all with sustainability at the centre.
The new Ferrari e-building
The new e-building built in Maranello will be inaugurated on June 21st, in the presence of the President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella. The new site will be characterized by a modern environment and high production flexibility so as to be able to host the lines not only dedicated to the first electric Ferrari but also for the entire Prancing Horse range, including hybrids and cars with internal combustion engines. The inauguration will be preceded by a workshop dedicated to Ferrari Partners, held for the second consecutive year in collaboration with Banco Santander. The meeting, which will be held on 20 June, aims to share experiences and concrete practices for reducing environmental impact with around 30 partners of the House. Among the various interventions, the architect Mario Cucinella, Founder & Design Director of MCA – Mario Cucinella Architects, will bear witness to his collaboration with the Ferrari team for the design of the e-building, a cutting-edge of sustainable architecture.
Family Day is back
In the week that will accompany the inauguration of the new e-building, the Family Day will also be held, an event dedicated to the families of employees which after 5 years returns to the calendar of Ferrari initiatives. Family Day 2024 will make several departments accessible to the public that have never before been opened. The visit itinerary will highlight the sustainable innovation that fuels the constant evolution of production plants and processes.
