The government the requested savings on care for the elderly hits the fastest growing professional group in care homes, i.e. care assistants.
Many of them have come to Finland through work-related immigration. In addition, assistant training was increased in various parts of Finland after the binding measure of the number of employees in nursing homes was entered into law.
