Sergio “El Kun” Agüero, former footballer who played in Atletico Madrid and Manchester City, as well as in the Argentine national team, will launch Kuniverse, his space in The Sandbox, one of the main decentralized virtual game worlds. El Kun is also a very popular streamer. “I am very excited to make my debut in the metaverse, thanks to a virtual environment created together with Eter Studio, to play and stream in order to be in contact with my fans around the world,” explains Agüero. “The first season of Kuniverse will be full of surprises, and there will be many advantages for those who own the 9320 avatars that will be created specifically”. The first version of Kuniverse will be launched on November 6 and will take the form of a huge stadium with football-themed games, experiences of various kinds and the presence of a food truck with Argentine food. Sergio Agüero will have an active role in the Kuniverse: he will welcome users and play live, sharing content through his Twitch channel, along with other exceptional streamers and special guests.
Kuniverse will also include a collection of 9320 avatars, each in the form of a unique NFT that can be used in the game. Owners will be able to get exclusive in-game benefits, such as participation in Esports tournaments, music events and the chance to win a trip to Qatar to personally meet El Kun and experience the 2022 World Cup. The avatars, which will be on sale the first week of November, they have five levels of rarity: Football Kun, E-Kun, Future Kun, Robot Kun and Special Kun. Each represents the different facets of Kun’s career and the most representative moments of him. Anyone who will sign up for NFT whitelisting on the Kun Discord channel will have access to the avatar presale 24 hours before the public sale. Users will be able to purchase a maximum of five avatars per wallet, in total, to ensure a fairer distribution among fans.
