Thank you very much for being on the side of culture. Thank you for having had the courage to rebel against the injustice that a minister intended to commit suppressing the National Bullfighting Award. Therefore, it is important that the Senate, such as the house of all Spaniards and nine autonomous communities have wanted to resume this award.
Culture does not belong to any political party or any politician. The culture belongs to the people and belongs to the people, and any politician in that position is obliged to manage, promote and disseminate the culture of our country. Enough of bullfighting politicization.
The bullfighting is not right -wing, is not left. Bullfighting, like culture, belongs to the people and people who want to feel and enjoy bullfighting as a show and as a universal art. It is the most integral, most authentic show that we live in a society fasting and ethics.
A bullfighter plays life live for a love of a profession, for a vocation that is above any interest rate. The truth is imposed and the emotion fills the squares of young people, who mobilize to feel something that only feels in a bullring. Life and death in an artistic expression is something unmatched when it reaches the beauty of the deep and aesthetic.
Culture is not censored and advocated by a society in which we are allowed as important that a human being can have: freedom.
I have the honor of receiving the last National Bullfighting Award, although with the contempt of its current minister. But above him and above me, there is the past, present and future of an art and cultural expression that enriches our country throughout the world, for which I have given blood, sweat and tears to feel, express and excite whoever sits in a laying.
Thank you, president, for your work. Not only with bullfighting, with all aspects of the Community of Madrid, in which I feel proudly dear, since it is my community. Thanks to all who have made possible the continuity of this award and thanks to all those who fight for freedom.
