The Californian start-up Eli Electric Vehicles he decided to bring to the salon EICMA 2021 a novelty in a European preview. This is a ‘luxury’ minicar, obviously electric, which can be driven from the age of 14 with an AM license: the Zero Plus. In Italy it will be distributed by the Bolognese FIVE, with pre-orders available as early as next December.
Eli Zero Plus is a micro-EV that is also the winner of the iF World Design Award 2021. The car is powered by lithium battery cells, with a maximum range of 100 kilometers and therefore for purely urban use. Despite its small size, the car has power steering, air conditioning, rear view camera, dual beam LED headlights, vegan leather seats and keyless starting. Deliveries will start from March 2022 to the dealer network in Italy. The selling price is 14,190 euros ex-dealer, already including eco-bonus without scrapping.
“Our goal is to revolutionize urban travel and make cities and those who live in them more connected to be able to reduce road congestion and pollution.“Said Marcus Li, founder and CEO of Eli Electric. “We are in a crucial moment in history characterized by a considerable increase in urban density and a notable acceleration of climate change and – therefore – we are faced with the urgent need to rethink and reinvent city transport“.
Eli also announced its distributors in Europe, a network made up of some consolidated companies, including some of the largest European distributors of micro-mobility that are present in ten countries (Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Spain , Portugal and Greece). In Italy the brand will be distributed by FIVE, a company already present on the market of electric bikes, electric scooters and electric minicars. “We are thrilled to bring to Italy Eli, an exclusive minicar in both design and performance, which completely differentiates itself from the cheaper cars on the market today.“, Said the CEO of FIVE, Fabio Giatti.
