Today, the Cairo Criminal Court sentenced the accused of killing his daughter’s fiancé to death by hanging in the case known in the media as “Talib al-Rehab”, and sentenced his daughter to life imprisonment, the fiancé of the victim, and a rigorous sentence of 5 to 10 years for six defendants.
The details of the case date back to the brutal killing of a student (the fiancé of the accused’s daughter) by a businessman, his daughter and 6 others in 2018 in the city of Rehab (east of Cairo), where the Egyptian Public Prosecutor referred them to the Criminal Court.
The defendants participated in the premeditated and premeditated murder of the student Bassam Osama Muhammad. Investigations revealed that the defendants resolved to kill him and prepared an apartment they rented and dug a large pit for his burial, prepared a wooden box and ropes, and committed the crime.
Investigations revealed that a dispute arose after the victim discovered the defendant’s involvement in forging his identity card to escape the execution of a prison sentence. Hence, the defendant decided and used the rest of the defendants to kill him, and they lured him through the second defendant, “his fiancée,” and hid his body by burying it in a pit, and then stole what was In possession of his belongings, and they confessed in detail to committing the incident.
