The general secretary of the popular warns that in the elections of Castilla y León it is chosen between «falling into socialism» of Sánchez «or believing in the future»
The PP celebrates this weekend the XIV Congress of the party in Castilla y León, where Alfonso Fernández Mañueco will be re-elected as regional president, less than a month before the regional elections on February 13. The popular ones arrive at the appointment in an atmosphere of “unity”, after parking the internal tensions of recent months and willing to recover the lost momentum. The national leadership trusts that these elections, as already happened with those of the Community of Madrid, suppose a national revulsive for the formation and pave the way for Pablo Casado from Moncloa. «The PP plays the change in trend. It is at stake to consolidate political change in Spain forever, ”said the Secretary General, Teodoro García Egea, this Saturday.
Pablo Casado’s number two has assured that, “from this moment on, the PP will govern all the elections that are called” for which he has demanded his militants be “up to” the moment they are going to live the Castilians and Leonese because “with work and unity you can go far”. “Power is in unity because when we are united we are stronger,” stressed García Egea, who insisted that “this congress sets an example for Spain around a team and a land that wants unity, work and loyalty” . “Where there is unity there will always be victory,” he warned.
In his speech, García Egea warned that the 13-F is chosen between «falling into socialism» of Pedro Sánchez «or believing in the future». A future that for the leader of the PP translates into a dilemma, between “laying out the red carpet for Pedro Sánchez in Castilla y León, or believing in the future”, between “falling into Sánchez’s socialism, or lowering taxes” or between choose «Sánchez or the PP». “There is no other party” that can win the elections, García Egea has said, in an attempt to attract the support of Ciudadanos and Vox voters.
The number two of the PP has also defended that the PSOE does not treat the President of the Government as an electoral asset, and that is why in the poster of the act this Saturday in Granada, where Sánchez has supported the candidate of the Junta de Andalucía, Juan Espadas, his photo did not appear. “There is an operation to hide Sánchez in the territories, because they have realized that he remains,” he said.
García Egea has also blamed the president for having deployed a coordinated attack against regional executives who work using an “orange crutch”, both in Murcia and in Castilla y León -although in that community Ciudadanos rejected the motion of censure presented by the PSOE-. “Who has caused the advance are those who have plunged Castilla y León into instability and in the danger of falling into the wrong hands, those are responsible for us going to the polls,” he remarked.
The ERE of Andalusia
The general secretary of the popular party has taken advantage of his intervention to charge against the distribution “by finger” of European funds by the Government and has justified his political and legal offensive against that distribution as “the last line of defense to prevent (the PSO)]do with the European funds the same as with the ERE in Andalusia».
García Egea has demanded that the distribution of the money be done in an “objective and technical” way in the face of the threat that it be used “sectarian” to favor the communities where the socialists and their partners govern.
