Sinaloa.- With the main objective of carrying out preventive work that allow maintain public health of the population of the municipalities of Rosario and Escuinapa, Sanitary Jurisdiction Number 6 carries out home visits in search of disease-transmitting vectors.
The inspection
Cuauhtémoc Izabal González, head of Sanitary Jurisdiction Number 6, reported that personnel have been assigned to carry out home visits in search of vectors which are carriers of disease.
“The activities that are being carried out are to catch vectors that transmit certain diseases, such as a mosquito, a bedbug, scorpions, with the aim of holding a health fair where these vectors will be taken and the malaria and dengue staff will explain people about the health problems that these animals can cause in humans”, explained the head of the Sanitary Jurisdiction.

He mentioned that carrying out these activities are fully preventive and invited the population to be careful with these animals, and if they are detected in their homes, implement the corresponding actions for their eradication, since they can affect their health.
“The objective is to let the population know that they should be very careful with this type of insect, because it is often ignored what diseases this type of vector can transmit,” he said.
Izabal González reported that in cases of dengue, a low rate has been maintained of this disease, which So far this 2022, only in the municipality of Escuinapa have two positive cases been detected, Therefore, the corresponding actions were carried out to avoid a massive outbreak of this disease, which is transmitted by the Aedes aegypti mosquito.
The municipality of Rosario so far has zero positive cases.
