The incorporation of interim teaching staff has been guaranteed in more than 3,500 vacancies as of September 1
The Ministry of Education and Culture has completed the process of allocating destinations for the academic year 2021-2022 for all civil servant career personnel, in internships -after the recent selection processes developed- and interim. It’s about a
massive procedure for the allocation of staff vacancies in which every year thousands of teachers from the Region participate, mainly through telematic means.
For the first time, in the massive awarding acts in which the interim teaching staff has participated
the request for vacancies has been voluntary. The measure is part of the new agreement on interim teaching personnel, which was approved unanimously with the union organizations of the Sectorial Board of Education on April 28. Although the clauses of the agreement were not applicable to the adjudication acts held in the months of July and August of this year, the Ministry of Education opted to advance this formula in order to evaluate its effectiveness for the beginning of the next academic year and to be able to provide, as far as possible, greater satisfaction to the destination requests requested by the temporary teaching staff.
The agreement of the interim teaching staff establishes that the first massive awarding act for the interim staff, corresponding to each academic year, will be voluntary for all their bodies, positions and specialties. In addition, it indicates that the Monitoring Commission of the same will analyze, according to the development of the agreement in relation to the coverage of the service,
the possibility of expanding this voluntariness progressively.
In order to be able to carry out this measure, Education has made the necessary adjustments in the software for the management of adjudication acts to be able to apply this change in the recently concluded procedures.
In the mass act of the body of Masters
more than 1,000 vacancies were offered and awarded, while in that of
Teachers of Secondary Education and other bodies, in which career and internship officials have also participated, have been offered and awarded
more than 2,500 job vacancies. This way,
the incorporation of temporary teaching staff has been guaranteed in more than 3,500 vacancies as of September 1Therefore, the beginning of the course will have all the necessary human resources in the centers.
According to the Ministry of Education and Culture, “the process for awarding teachers has been carried out in compliance with the scheduled calendar. It has been necessary to summon, in the vast majority of specialties, all the existing temporary staff on the lists,
which has guaranteed a percentage of coverage of vacancies higher than those of past courses, also including the partial days offered. This has meant l
to the mobilization of more than 13,000 teachers in this procedure, who have presented almost 8,000 petition instances «.
On the other hand, in the awarding acts that are held in the month of September, the participation of all the teaching staff
it will be mandatory.
The new agreement on interim teaching personnel, born of consensus and social dialogue, will enter into force as of September 1 of this year and in it
