RIO DE JANEIRO (Reuters) – The Portuguese company EDP bought the electric company Celg Transmissão (Celg T), from Goiás, in a privatization auction this Thursday, on the São Paulo stock exchange B3, for 1.977 billion reais, at a premium of 80.10% against the expected minimum.
At the auction, 100% of the shares of Celg T, belonging to CelgPar, of the government of Goiás, were traded.
The minimum value for the sale of Celg T was 1.097 billion reais.
Celg T is the result of the spin-off of assets from Celg Geração e Transmissão (Celg-GT).
