The Attorney General’s Office of the State of Mexico (FGJEM) obtained a sentence of 140 years in prison for eight people, when they were found guilty of the crime of kidnapping, to the detriment of a man, who was found murdered.
The case occurred in the municipality of Valle de Chalco.
The people sentenced are:
- Rosa Libya Perales Cortés
- Jessica Monroy Macias
- Fabiola Robles García
- Dulce Anaid Sánchez Moreno
- Brenda Yaniret González Galicia
- Diego Mauricio Martínez Flores
- Esteban Giovani González González
- Polo Páez Medina
According to the investigation carried out by the FGJEM, on May 7, 2020, the victim (a man) left his home to meet a woman whom he had met through a social network and with whom he apparently had a romantic relationship.
Hours later, the man’s relatives began to receive phone calls, in which they were told that their relative was kidnapped and for his release they demanded a large financial sum.
Days later, on May 24, 2020, unfortunately the victim was found dead in the municipality of Chalco.
The FGJEM investigated and established that the eight mentioned above participated in different ways in the kidnapping of the man.
Dulce Anaid contacted and summoned the victim so that she would later be deprived of her liberty, while Brenda Yaniret and Polo carried out actions to coordinate this crime.
It was established that Rosa Libia, Jessica, Fabiola, Diego Mauricio and Esteban Giovanni received deposits in their bank accounts, as payment for the release of the victim.
As a result of this information, all of those involved were arrested and admitted to the Penitentiary and Social Reintegration Center of Chalco, at the disposal of the Judicial Authority, who, after a legal process, handed down this sentencing sentence to them.
In addition to the prison sentence, they must pay fines of 2 million 85 thousand 120 pesos, 300 thousand pesos as reparation for material damage and 83 thousand 915 pesos as reparation for moral damage.
