Corona restrictions have been heavy on the film industry. There is now a threat of subsidy cuts.

Finn the film is in a strong mood. New interesting films are being made at a dizzying pace. Talented creators, technical skill and creative madness are enough.

The range of films extends from western Lapland (The last) to love in Finnish times (Fucking with Nobody) and 17th century startup comedy (Potato) to the love story of a blind man (A blind man who didn’t want to see the Titanic). Topics in the documents have included refugees, the S├ími people, pacifism, mountain nature, ticks and Jere Karalahti.
