Although mental health problems are no longer as big a taboo as they were a few decades ago, the need for treatment is still not taken seriously enough.
Parliament already received a citizens’ initiative on the therapy guarantee a year ago in October. The initiative, launched by thirty mental health organizations, collected the 50,000 signatures needed in a short time.
The initiative proposes that mental health care be included after the first visit to a health center. Therapy or other psychosocial treatment would begin within a month of seeking treatment.
